Tuesday and Thursday Volunteer Program

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) at Fort Ord sponsors a year-round biological volunteer program from 10am-4pm each Tue. and Thur.

Volunteers collect native seeds, remove invasive weeds, plant and water oaks and other native plants, and survey for rare plants using GPS an GIS in addition to other biological projects. The project site is 8000 acres of the beautiful Fort Ord backcountry. All tools and training provided for free. Contact Bruce Delgado of BLM at 394-8314 or bdelgado@mbay.net for more info.
